Maternity Leave and Covering Practitioners

Hello, friends!

I'm excited to introduce you to the two fabulous practitioners who will be covering my practice while I'm out on maternity leave. I plan to end work on Saturday, April 3 and return on Monday, July 19.

Evelyn Williamson and Kelsey Rumfello will be taking great care of you while I'm gone! Evelyn will be caring for adults and Kelsey will be primarily taking care of the young ones (12 and under) although she works with adults as well.

Their schedule will be:

Monday 9-1: Evelyn
Monday 4:30-8: Kelsey
Tuesday 9-1: Evelyn
Wednesday 4:30-8: Kelsey
Thursday 3-7: Evelyn

I know some of you will need to change your regular appointment times, hopefully we can find a new standing time that will work well for you!

Also - for those of you receiving herbal medicine from me, please be in touch during the weeks of March 22 or 29 to get 4-6 weeks of herbs before I head out on leave. Thank you!

Please read on to learn about Evelyn and Kelsey!

Evelyn Williamson

Hello, my name is Evelyn and I am excited to be working with you while Janet is out on leave. I found my way to Chinese Medicine shortly after graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in the arts. A native of Oakland, I had the desire to serve my community, and the holistic approach to mind, body and spirit that TCM employs seemed like it could be a very powerful tool for me to utilize. Since graduating from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine I have worked at the Oakland Acupuncture Project, a community clinic that has served the area for over 12 years. In my 5 years there I have provided thousands of acupuncture treatments. This experience has given me a deep faith in the power of acupuncture to guide healing and manage chronic issues. I am very much looking forward to bringing this faith to the work we will be doing together. The principles that guide my practice are rooted in trauma-informed care, the belief that health looks different for different people, and that our own sense and understanding of our lived experiences are a vital component to healing work.

Kelsey Rumfello

Kelsey Rumfello graduated with her Masters from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley, CA. She studied at the TianJin Teaching Hospital in China which specializes in stroke, Bell's palsy, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. She also trained in Shikoku Japan to learn Japanese Facial Rejuvenation.

Kelsey loves working with children of all ages, she has a gentle touch and is patient. She is able to relate to kids while balancing being silly and professional. Kelsey focuses on warmth, non-judgement, and humor to alleviate any anxiety or stress during the treatment.

Kelsey enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking. She spends her free time biking or reading in her garden. She is a self proclaimed sci-fi nerd and she looks forward to your sci-fi and fantasy book suggestions.
