Improve Your Family’s Quality of Life — Reduce Frequent Infections

Frequent Illness Disrupts the Whole Family.

  • Illness is stressful and exhausting

We know how it is to have a family where one or several kids are constantly getting sick. You’re constantly worried about the next illness. You can’t commit to anything because you’re often home caring for sick kids. Your work and family life are impacted. And it’s hard to see your kids suffer so frequently.

    There is another way.

  • Progress happens fast

When we work with families to strengthen a child’s immune system and decrease illness we typically find rapid improvement. Illnesses last for fewer days. Fewer colds come into the household. There’s less of the chronic runny nose, the lingering cough, or the lingering fatigue.

Children are resilient. Once their bodies have a nudge in the right direction they become MUCH healthier.

  • Change now makes a healthier adult

When we change a child’s physiology and habits, those changes often persist into adulthood. A child who misses less school, has a more robust immune system, is more often able to get out and play and burn off stress, is more likely to become a thriving adult.

Get your child the positive health changes they need to set them up for a lifetime of success.

Acupressure and herbal medicine reduce the frequency of illness and can turn around a chronic illness.

Chinese medicine for frequent illness

We love working with children to improve their immune response and lessen their likelihood of contracting frequent colds and flus.

The principles are simple. We improve the digestive system since research shows that 70% of our immune cells are found in our gut. We strengthen the immune and respiratory systems. We reduce phlegm, chronic cough, and chronic runny nose. And we relieve the stress that comes with staying home sick, being away from friends, having medical appointments, and feeling unwell.

FAQs

How much treatment will my child need?

Every child has a different constitution and medical history. Typically we begin with 3-4 weekly acupressure sessions, after which we know whether we need to continue weekly for a few months or whether we can move into maintenance mode.

Does my child need to use herbal medicine?

We never require that a child take herbal medicine. We often recommend the use of herbs because it adds power to the acupressure treatments, however, this decision is completely up to your family.

Will it hurt?

As you can see on our pediatrics page, our pediatric treatments are generally acupressure only unless a child is interested to try acupuncture needles. The acupressure treatment is massage-like. Most children feel quite relaxed after treatment and love coming to see us.

Do you work with adults also?

We love supporting the whole family. Often, once the child is more healthy and less frequently sick, one or two parents will come in for treatment to support their own immune systems and relieve stress.

What if my child seems to have one recurring infection?

Chinese medicine has particular approaches for infections that seem to linger in the body and re-appear periodically. We use a distinct set of principles to guide our acupressure and herbal medicine treatments to rid your child’s body of the infection.
